You’ve heard about eating right for your blood type. Now how about a meal prepared based on your health concerns and diagnosis by a Doctor of Chinese Medicine?
The Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences will host its 2nd annual Longevity Banquet on Saturday, March 20th at 6:00pm at the North Shore Hall, Nelson, BC. This fund-raising banquet will feature a five course meal based on each guest’s pulse diagnosis.
Warren Fischer, Doctor of Chinese Medicine and Dean of the Academy is excited about the event, commenting, “This is an event we talked about doing for a long time. In Asia it is possible to visit restaurants staffed by Chinese medicine doctors who check your pulse and create healing food based on your diagnosis. We thought it would be fun and educational to re-create this opportunity in Nelson, and last year’s event was a great success”.
Come out and support the Academy, eat delicious food and learn about yourself. There are only 100 tickets to be sold at $75 each. Tax receipts will be issued. Advanced ticket sales only. Tickets can be purchased from the Academy Bookstore at 303 Vernon Street or by phone at 250-354-1995.
If you would like more information about this event, or the programs at the Academy, please call 250-352-5887 or email acos@acos.org.
