Prerequisites to Study at ACOS Have Changed!

January 7, 2010

Yahoo! We are doing our ‘Happy Dance’ here at ACOS. The long awaited approval of changes to the prerequisites to study Chinese medicine in British Columbia have finally been approved by the Ministry of Health.

The approved bylaw amendments will mean the two year university education prerequisite will become a ’stand alone’ requirement and will not be a prerequisite for entry into a TCM educational program.

Students will still need to attain these prerequisites prior to writing licensing exams in British Columbia but may do so after completing the program at ACOS or concurrently while studying at our school.

ACOS is now accepting applications of interested students who previously lacked the required prerequisites but who are now eligible to apply for our school’s programs.

Many students with amazing backgrounds and life skills who wished to study at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences, but were unable to due to this university prerequisite requirement, can now join us to learn the arts of acupuncture and herbal medicine.

For more information on this change in the bylaws contact the CTCMA.

For information on how this will affect your application please be in touch with our Registrar.
